Guidance Notes

  • All new prospective walkers must speak to the Convenor before joining a walk
  • Walkers meet every Saturday morning at Evans Street 9.30am, (by the side of the U3A centre in Shaftsbury Methodist Church) and leave at 10.00am sharp
  • Transport is by shared cars with passenger contribution depending on distance travelled (£2 min.)
  • A reasonable level of fitness is required as some walks will have stiles and ascents and descents of varying levels of difficulty
  • Please bring a snack and liquid refreshment
  • Walking boots and waterproof clothing are essential
  • Walks may be changed or cancelled due to weather conditions on or prior to the advertised day. Please ring Convenor for confirmation of walk.

Whilst leaders will endeavour to make the walks as safe as possible, no liability is accepted for injury. There is no group insurance for Accident/Personal Injury. Walkers take part at their own risk.
